October 26, 2007 – As is the tradition, everyone involved in the Mountain Bike World Cup voted for the best 2007 event.
Prize winning riders and teams, journalists and UCI sponsors had their say and elected Houffalize, Schladming and Villabassa the best 2007 events. Mont-Ste-Anne, Québec won third place in the DH category and the new-for-2007 venue of St-Félicien, Québec took third spot in the XCO category.
XCO: Tradition Wins
Only a handful of points separate Houffalize and Offenburg. However, it is the small Belgian town, sometimes described as the “Mountain Bike Mecca” that finally takes the honours. Saint-Félicien, a last-minute World Cup host decided only a few weeks before the event, did more than hold its own: It is voted into third place, mainly due to the quality of its circuit.

DH and 4X — Schladming Once Again
It was an outright win for the Austrian ski station Schladming where the quality of the tracks and organization gained undisputed favour. Maribor’s downhill course together with its warm public, also seduced the voters. The Slovene town, back in the World Cup after four years’ absence, is placed second in front of Mont-Sainte-Anne, Canada, which is also appreciated for its downhill race and unique atmosphere.
