August 3, 2003 (Altoona, Pennsylvania) РLyne Bessette won the Tour de 'Toona, after the final stage that was interrupted because a storm jeopardized rider safety. Planned for 48 kilometres, the criterium was stopped just after the middle of the race when a storm caused seriously slippery streets in downtown Altoona as safety fences were also pushed onto the street. Saturn's Ina Teutenberg won the stage after 27 kilometres of racing, ahead of Rona/Esker's Genevi̬ve Jeanson and Saturn's Lyne Bessette.

In the general classification, Bessette took the win while Jeanson and Karen Bockel, both of Rona/Esker, finished second and third, respectively 39 seconds and 1 minute and 56 seconds behind Bessette.

Rona/Esker won the team general classification, Jeanson won the Queen of the Mountain red jersey and Erinne Willock of Victoria, B.C., Rona/Esker's youngest member, was given the Most Aggressive rider award, because of her outstanding work pulling the peloton and in breaks all week long. Laura Van Gilder reconquered the Sprinter's green jersey – this time definitively.

In the final stage Jeanson gained three seconds on Bessette, thanks to bonuses earned in an intermediary sprint and at the finish. But Bessette's yellow jersey was never threatened, as Team Saturn controlled the race and prevented any attack by Jeanson. As soon as the red jersey was seen moving to the front, five yellow jerseys of Bessette's teammates clustered behind Jeanson. Otherwise the yellow train controlled the peloton for the best part of the shortened criterium.

“This is probably our best team performance ever”, said Rona/Esker's leader Jeanson after the last stage. Not only because we won Team general classification – we've done that in the past – but we have three girls in the top ten, including two on the final podium, a total of seven stage podiums, including three wins, the Queen of the Mountain and the Most aggressive rider. A good week's work!”
