December 4, 2006 – Benjamin Martel has jumped from Sleeman Clear Énergie to the Louis Garneau Optik team for 2007 according to the popular Quebec cycling website, Veloptimum. Previously we reported that Garneau Optik recently lost Alexandre Lavallée who became the directeur sportif with the newly-formed équipe Vallée de l’aluminium (EVA). Garneau Optik, also likely to lose David Veilleux to the US-based Jittery Joe’s , is expected to announce their 2007 roster shortly.

While Sleeman Clear Énergie lost a good rider they picked up a new sponsor, Marois & Fils which does interior systems in residential and commercial sectors.
