February 7, 2010 (Whistler, BC) – Cycling BC Team member in both XC and DH disciplines and 2012 Games hopeful, Tyler Allison, 17, was awarded the honour of lighting the Olympic cauldron in Whistler on Friday with a crowd of around 10,000 cheering. The Olympic Torch Relay, which began more than three months ago, is stopping at all Olympic venues before it ends on Friday, Feb. 12 when the flame will light the final cauldron at the opening ceremonies in Vancouver. The 2010 Olympic Games run from Feb. 12-28.
