May 26, 2014 (France) – Great news as we just heard from BC’s Nigel Ellsay (Sojasun Espoir) who is racing in Europe where he claimed the White Jersey at the 5-stage Tour de Franche-Comte (Elite National race) in France, May 22-25, and finished 17th overall.
“I thought I should let you know that I just finished off a successful Tour de Franche-Comte (Elite National, FR). I got in a late break on stage 3 and finished 5th after being caught just before the line with some late attacks.
“I was 10th in the stage 4 mountain TT where I took the white jersey for the best young rider. I fought hard with a Belgian from EFC-Quickstep on the final stage and just kept the jersey,” wrote Ellsay.
Pedal joins the cycling community across Canada congratulating Ellsay and wishing him all the best.
