BC Superweek – July 11-20

July 7, 2008 – Once again, BC plays host to the largest week of racing in Canada. Eight races in 10 days! Some top teams and riders will duke it out on BC’s west coast, including U.S. Olympic hopeful, Astana’s Chris Horner (USA) Team Astana. Instead of the Tour de France, Horner will be using Superweek to stay sharp as the Olympics draw nearer. Tour de Delta Jul 11-13
Superweek starts off with a new prologue time trial on a 3 km course Friday night. Fast speeds and fancy time trial bikes will be well worth seeing! On Saturday the downtown criterium in Ladner is sure to repeat as a crowd favorite event as the local community embraces the race. Enjoy the race while having lunch or dinner at one of the many restaurants lining the course. The 140km Sunday road race starts in Delta and concludes with circuits in Tsawwassen. The strong men will show on this course.

Tour de Gastown July 16
If you have not seen this race before, come out and experience one of the best criteriums in North America. There is nothing like the speed on the finishing stretch as the wind from the bikes competes with the noise from the spectators! Come see this rocking race in the heart of historic Vancouver. A must do!
