BC BMX Commissaire Refresher Course

Goal: To provide further training for existing provincial-level BMX Commissaires, or those who have taken a course at some point in the past but have not been licensed recently.

Outcome: Commissaires active and licensed in 2006 will be upgraded to provincial “˜B’ status; those not recently active will be licensed with provincial “˜C’ status.

Participants will be asked to work as Commissaires at the Abbotsford Indoor BC Cup held the following weekend in order to undergo practical training and evaluation. This is offered as a chance to practice the skills learned the weekend before, to ask further questions, and receive feedback.

Class Room Session Date: Saturday, January 20, 2007 Time: 9:30 — 5:30

Cost: $65 (includes the cost of a 2007 Commissaire license), or $10 for those with a 2007 racing license or other technical license

Preparation: This training session will be interactive and will require participation both individually and in work groups. Participants should be prepared to discuss their experiences in BMX throughout the day. Please bring a supply of paper and a pen or pencil. Any other materials will be supplied. Coffee, Tea, and Water will be supplied.
