May 20, 2004 – Cycling BC would like to thank and congratulate the
talented athletes who have met the 03/04 Athlete Assistance Program
(AAP) criteria.
The High Performance Committee has reviewed and evaluated all of the
submissions, and has named the successful funding recipients below.
On behalf of the High Performance Committee, Cycling BC would like to
congratulate these athletes on their successful performances, and their
selection for AAP funding:
-Will Routley
-Emily Sandwith
-Marsh Cooper
-Bradley Fairall
-Naomi Cooper
-Dylan Sebel
-Martina Feldmann
-Micayla Gatto
-Catharine Pendrel
-Tyler West
-Scott Erwood
-Tyler Clarke
The selection process was very difficult due to the large number of
suitable applicants meeting the necessary qualification requirements. The AAP,
administered by the Sport and Community Development Branch of the BC
Government, aims to provide funding to eligible athletes, as part of their
development towards national-level competition.
Operating under Cycling BC, the High Performance Committee has the task of
reviewing and selecting athletes for AAP funding. As with any selection
process, eligible riders who have not been selected are entitled to an
appeal process. Riders wishing to submit an appeal should forward a
written appeal to the High Performance Committee, c/o Cycling BC, prior to May
26, 2004.
