Basis Announces Women’s Cycling Team

March 19, 2003- Basis Women's Cycling Team announced its roster for the 2003 season today. The lineup consists of four national champions including 2000 Olympian, Nicole Freedman (Boston, MA), multiple time collegiate National Champions Kate Maher (Berkley, CA) and Sarah Konrad (Laramie, WY), Heather Albert (Boise, ID), Micki Buckley (Boulder, CO), and Lauren Gaffney (Nashville, TN).

Basis has taken successful veteran riders and paired them with talented developmental riders. “I am thrilled to be on a team with such committed and talented cyclists and to have the support of sponsors as enthusiastic as ourselves,” says veteran rider Nicole Freedman. The team will compete at more than 30 National Racing Calendar races, opening with the Pomona Valley Stage Race.
