Athlete Assistance Program Submissions Being Accepted

December 20, 2004 – The High Performance Sub-Committee is accepting qualified submissions from all licenced riders interested in applying for the Athlete Assistance Program.

Please forward all submissions to Allan Prazsky at mailto:road(at)cycling.bc.ca The deadline for application is January 20, 2005.

A long list will be compiled of athletes who meet the eligibility and performance criteria. Based on the final amount of the grant, the funds will be disbursed to the most qualified candidates on this list. The seeding for “most qualified” is based on performance level: Level 5 applicants will take precedence over Level 4, Level 4 over Level 3, and so on, until all the money has been distributed.

It is incumbent on interested riders to submit their results, along with the accompanying validations as outlined by the Selection Criteria. The HP Sub-Committee will make every effort to collect all relevant data so as to ensure a fair and equitable distribution of the AAP monies. The AAP Selection Committee retains the right of ‘Final Approval’ for all submissions and for all possible cuts or re-distribution of money to applicants to the various levels.
