Assistant Coaches Needed For MTB Worlds

July 21, 2005 – In preparation for the 2005 MTB World Championships, to be held in Livigno, Italy from August 28 till September 4, the Canadian Cycling Association is now accepting applications for the following two positions to complete our staffing for this event:

– Assistant Coach, XC
– Assistant Coach, DH

The Assistant Coach, XC will work under the direction and supervision of the CCA National Team Head Coach (MTB). Their main role will center on preparing and managing the Junior team that will be competing at the World Championships. They should also be ready to assist in other areas when called upon. This position requires a minimum level III certification.

Should no candidates meet this requirement, a combination of relevant experience in the XC discipline will be considered.

The Assistant Coach, DH will work under the direct supervision of the DH Head Coach, who will report to the CCA National Team head Coach (MTB).
Their main role will center on preparing and managing the Junior team that will be competing at the World Championships. They should also be ready to assist in other areas when called upon. This position requires a minimum level I technical certification. Should no candidates meet this requirement, a combination of relevant experience in the DH discipline will be considered.

Interested individual should ensure that they are available from August 19 to September 6. All interested individual should be in possession of a valid international driver’s license.
