ASO Partners with Pedal and Launches First Ever Canadian Edition of the Official Tour de France Guide

February 22, 2019 (Paris, France) – The Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), owners of the Tour de France, have launched for the first time ever, a dedicated Canadian edition of The Official Tour de France Guide. ASO has chosen to award Pedal Magazine with the exclusive rights to publish the Official Tour de France Guide for Canada.

ASO has been publishing The Guide since the 1980s, but this will be the first time they will enter the Canadian market with a dedicated Guide.

Available for pre-order from February 25 through May 31 and at newsstands across Canada on June 7, The Guide is the essential accompaniment for watching the Tour de France, whether it’s streaming on your mobile device or roadside at the race. Offering in-depth profiles on each day’s stage route, it also features colourful analyses of teams and riders.

High quality, beautifully designed and furnished throughout with the best race photography from The Tour’s official photographers the Guide is available in both print and digital formats.

This special collector’s first-ever edition for Canada will retail for $12.95. Featuring Canadian legends, Alex Stieda and Steve Bauer, it will also feature coverage of all Canadians to ever ride at the Tour.

“We currently publish ten different language versions of The Guide and until now, we haven’t had a dedicated presence in Canada. However we have been very aware that over the last few years how the global interest in The Tour has escalated, so we are exited to finally be launching in Canada,” commented Laurence Gauthier, Editorial Director at ASO.
