– Pedal was recently invited to Argon 18’s presentation and launch of its 2014 collection including the newly redesigned Di2-ready Gallium Pro at Archeo Restaurant in the cool Distillory District in downtown Toronto – read more about the hot-looking Gallium Pro
here.
It was a beautiful day for a launch as a select group of dealers gathered for a series of brief presentations lead by Marketing Director, Jacques Philie, including a history of the company and founder Gervais Rioux who won 150 races during his career.
Patrick Desnoyers, who claims to be the skiniest guy at the company, walked us through some of Argon 18’s unique features including Optimal Balance, Horizontal Dual System (HDS) balancing stiffness (lower) and comfort (top) of the frame, and 3D head tube heights that are integrated into every frame size allowing micro adjustment for a race, or relaxed fit.
Colin Dickey for Team CHCH spoke about the team’s progress landing many podiums on Argon 18 bikes as they recently signed a 3-year partnership deal. The team has made tremendous gains over the years since its inception with 100+ riders currently involved in the program – learn more here.
A fabulous lunch was served following the presentations and just prior we caught up with Patrick Desnoyers who walked us through Argon 18’s exciting 2014 line up.
