March 30, 2010 (Montreal, QC) – Despite a still-uncertain economic climate, road bike design firm Argon 18 recently completed the expansion of its warehousing space at the company’s facility in Montreal. This latest project, increasing warehouse capacity by 40%, is the second such expansion undertaken in the past two years by the company and its founders the Rioux brothers, Gervais and Martin. Last year, the firm had proceeded with a major overhaul of its premises, boosting warehouse space by 30% and drastically reorganizing the office area for an extra 25% growing room in administrative services. Argon 18 the company is housed in a funky, turn-of-the-century manufacturing building, all red brick and huge hardwood beams and floors.
For the Rioux brothers, investing further in Montreal is a natural, logical choice. As they put it, “Argon 18 was born on Boulevard St-Laurent, the Main, right around the corner here in Montreal, in a neighborhood steeped in creativity and new thinking. Since Argon 18’s hallmark is innovative design and unique products, we thought it best to let the company reap the benefits of this stimulating environment”. Montreal is where Argon 18 performs all the design and marketing work for its entire line of bicycles.
