March 20, 2006 – It is with great pleasure that we announce the nomination of Andrew Scott as Technical Director for the National Cycling Centre – Atlantic Canada. Originally from Charlottetown, PEI, Andrew is a former elite rider of the program and has enjoyed some good results over his career on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean (he raced in France for two winters). Andrew will shortly be getting his degree in Recreation and Sports management from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton and will join our team full time in May. His main task will comprise of administration, coaching and leadership development, event coordination and facility development. “Andrew will be a great addition to our Centre and to cycling in Atlantic Canada in general. He’ll enable us to offer a better range of service and to our head coach to concentrate more on our growing elite riders” Centre president, Guy Vincent, said. “Welcome and congratulations to Andrew Scott!”
