Amgen Tour of California Stage 3 Full Results, PHOTOS – Dennis Wins, Routley Still KOM Leader

May 13, 2014 (Mount Diablo, CA) – Rohan Dennis (Aus) Garmin Sharp, winner of the inaugural Tour of Alberta, took the hilltop victory on Stage 3 from San Jose to Mount Diablo, 177km, and now sits second overall behind Bradley Wiggins (Gbr) Team Sky who finished 9th today.

Finishing second was Tiago Machado (Por) Team NetApp-Endura followed by Lawson Craddock (USA) Team Giant-Shimano in third. Canada’s Will Routley (Optum p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies) got into an early break to earn valuable KOM points and solidify his lead in the Mountain Classification.

The break was caught as Team Sky lead the chase for Wiggins but Routley earned the points he was after and now has 18 points with Dennis in second with 12 points and Machado in third with 10 points.
