April 2, 2010 – Sources close to the SpiderTech p/b Planet Energy camp confirm that while as yet unofficial the team will be on the start line at the Amgen Tour of California, May 16-23 – an official announcement is expected shortly. SpiderTech has been having a great start to season with six stage wins and fourth overall (Ryan Roth) at the Vuelta a Cuba in February, several stage wins and second overall (Bruno Langlois) at the Vuelta Independencia National in the Dominican Republic also in Februray, and a recent stage win at the Vuelta Ciclista del Uruguay. The Tour of California is slated to become a ProTour race in 2011 and SpiderTech p/b Planet Energy becomes the first Canadian team to compete at the event which began in 2005.
