Alison Powers to Coach at Alabama Cycling Camp – Feb. 20-27

December 10, 2009 – We want to share the exciting news that – professional racer Alison Powers, U.S. Road Racer of the Year and Top NRC Points Leader, is coming to coach at the Alabama Cycling Camp this season, from February 20-27, 2010!

We encourage racing ladies and all riders and coaches to come during this time for some great inside tips and coaching on Women’s Racing!

Powers is the owner of ALP Cycles Coaching and has over 15 years of athletic experience and more than 4 years of coaching experience. Starting her career as a ski racer, Powers travelled the world racing the World Cup circuit with the US Ski Team. After an injury, she turned her sights to cycling. In just 5 years of racing, she has 2 National Championships and has won the overall National Racing Calendar (NRC) in 2009. Powers has experience racing on the road, track, and off road on both the cross bike and the mountain bike.

Ramer is a quaint small southern town located in central Alabama. It is an ideal location to have an early season cycling camp due to the mild winter weather, beautifully paved new roads with dozens of quiet scenic routes, fresh sweet smelling clean air, and all the town’s amenities in short walking distance. The Alabama Cycling Camp is ideal for the serious racer or casual rider. It’s a cyclist’s dream getaway.
