Alessio Bianchi Meet And Greet After Giro

May 31 2004 – A celebration of the ‘celeste’ passion was held on Sunday May
30th, at Bianchi’s premises, on the last stage of Giro d’Italia which
passed right by the Bianchi factory in Treviglio, an event which coincided
with the opening of the ceremonies for Bianchi’s 120th
anniversary, which will last the whole year.

On this occasion Bianchi opened the doors of its production departments,
where the technology of the
brand was born. A guided tour through the manufacturing phases of the
famous Bianchi bicycles, was enjoyed by about five thousands visitors, who,
besides taking part in the Factory Tour could also try some Bianchi bikes
for an
exciting bike test.

And there was more: the Alessio-Bianchi team, riding at the Giro, took a
short break to parade in front of the factory in Treviglio and was greeted
by Bianchi Vice-President Davide Brambilla, the champion Felice Gimondi as
well as plenty of fans gathered for the occasion. “It was a very important
moment for us because the inauguration of the Factory Tour,” said Stefano
Vigano. “This provided the start to the celebrations for Bianchi’s 120
years which will last one year up to the opening of Bianchi Museum,
scheduled in 2005. The timing couldn’t have been better with the Giro
d’Italia and our Alessio-Bianchi team just outside the factory to seal a
moment in a race which has a special meaning for us at Bianchi.”
