Albion Thrills Includes Free Meal

November 15, 2006 – With many unforeseeable cancellations wreaking havoc on the cyclo-cross schedule, a last-minute race has been added to the schedule. Sean Ruppel of Superfly Racing, with a little help from his friends, including Kyle Douglas (National Espoir Champion), and maybe a guest appearance from Chico himself, are running this impromptu event out of their favorite venue, Albion Hills. Many thanks to the crew at Albion for allowing us into their park of such short notice.

The event will use the standard cyclo-cross format (see below), and the actual starting point within the park has yet to be determined. Follow signs on event day to the specific location.

The event will include a free lunch to all participants, including BBQ items and a hot bowl of Sean’s award winning chili. (Vegetarians, sorry about your luck, but there will be some veggie burgers for you).

Participants need only a minimum of a citizen permit and the proper gear to ride. For information on cyclo-cross racing refer to the OCA website. Sorry, 1-day permits are NOT available at this race.

Entry fee is $15 for under 19 and $25 for everyone else.
