July 17, 2008 (Calgary, AB) – Welcome to the Youth Track Provincials, being held Wednesday, August 6, at the Glenmore Velodrome, Calgary. This exciting day of racing is open to: Junior Male and Female; U17 Male and Female, and U15 Male and Female. Events include:

– 200M ITT and Match Sprints
– 500M and 1000M ITT
– Pursuits
– Points and Scratch races (time/weather permitting)

Championship Medals will be awarded to the TOP 3 winners in each category, based on Onmium points.

– Prize money and Draw Prizes are sponsored by Bow Cycle
– Pre-Race Day Events:
– Open Training session will be held at the Velodrome on Tuesday, August 5th, from 12 — 4 pm
– After training, grab your swimsuit and head down to Sandy Beach for a BBQ. The Oval Parents will be cooking up a feast!!

The Track Championships are being held in conjunction with Calgary Bike Week and the youths are invited to participate in the other events, including the Youth Provincial Championship Road Race being organized by Midweek Mayhem, and held in conjunction with The Bearspaw Open, presented with the RCMP — A Career Nowhere Near Ordinary (check Midweek Mayhem for more details and for registration).
