release by Best Body Fitness

September 29, 2010 (Sylvan Lake, AB) – Adventure cyclist Ryan Correy will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for continuous indoor spinning, starting Monday, October 4th at 8:00am. This history-making event will take place at Best Body Fitness in Sylvan Lake, Alberta.

The current record is 200 hours (8 days, 8 hours). The rules to break the record are simple – Ryan must travel at least 20 virtual km/hour, and is only allowed 5 minutes off the bike for every completed hour on. This time can be saved for longer breaks.

In accordance with Guinness World Record rules, two independent witnesses will be on at all times, rotating in four hour shifts. There will also be a 24-hour live camera feed online.

Ryan is scheduled to break the current record on Tuesday, October 12th at 4:01pm.
