September 10, 2010 – Here are updates from Alberta and Saskatchewan about the various upcoming cyclocross races and clinics. The United Cycle Cycling Club in Edmonton is presenting Tuesday CrossTraining every Tuesday night until October 26, 2010 (light permitting). There’s also lots of ‘cross going on in Saskatchewan, like the BCW Blackstrap Cyclo-Cross Race October 3. Read on for more information.

United Cycle Tuesday CrossTraining
– Location: Goldbar Park and Capilano Park
– 10955 50St Edmonton and 10810 54St Edmonton
– Race will alternate between Goldbar and Capilano each week

– Times: Registration at 6:30, Race start at 7pm
– Races will include A, B, and C groups based on number of laps raced
– Cost: $5, due at registration, No IOU’s!!!

– Fee – Single Race: Before Oct 1 – $20 after – $30 Extra

Sask Cyclo-Cross Practices
We are running our fall cyclo-cross practices again this year at Lakewood Park on the east side of the library. Starting on September 2nd and runs to October 14th. We start at 6:15PM and go until it gets dark. Each practice will start with a skills session and then be followed by a fun practice race. These sessions are great for both beginners and advanced cyclocross riders so come out and try a new sport. Mountain bikes and cross bikes welcome.
