release by the FQSC / adapted by John Symon

May 7, 2009 (Montreal, QC) — The FQSC (Fédération québécois des sports cyclistes) announced today that Alain Roy has been named as Quebec’s road and track coach for the 2009 season. The post became vacant after Eric Van den Eynde left the FQSC to work as the national paracycling coach for the Canadian Cycling Association (CCA).

Roy is a coach with more than 30 years of experience and has already worked with the Quebec team in recent years. The FQSC will retain Roy’s services on contract until early September. Decisions about the 2010 season will be made later on.
