May 11, 2004 – Those who always wanted to take part in the 24 hours World Championshops in Canada have the chance to secure a start place this month. The adidas 24 hours of Saalbach Hinterglemm, opener of the new European 24-hour race series adidas 24hraces.com,  is an official qualifier for the 24-Hour Worlds to be held September 4-5 in Whistler, B.C.

Sunday, May 30, will be the longest night of the year in Saalbach Hinterglemm. “Race and rock around the clock” is the motto of the day. Mountain bikers are invited to test their endurance at the new 24-hour race on the extended World Games Cross Country course or to support those who are riding and spend the whole night celebrating at the famous Goaßstall where the route passes by.

Participants can start as a single competitor or in teams made up of two, four or eight riders. 24-Hour World Champion Mario Amann from Austria, and Germany's top ranked 24-hour racer  Franz Kohlsdorfer have already registered.The top ten men and top three women to place at the adidas Bike ' n Soul 24H Race will receive official qualifying spots at the World Solo 24 Hours of Adrenalin Championships in Whistler, B.C. to compete for the largest 24-hour solo cash purse, and earn the “toughest endurance racer in the world” bragging rights. Qualifying spots will also be awarded to the top male and female in each five year age group category and single speed.
