November 7, 2004 – The first Indoor session starts November 13th and 14th, come out and make use of one of the only Indoor BMX tracks in Canada!

If you’d like to come ride at Abbotsford Indoor before January 1st, 2005, but you haven’t purchased a 2004 license, here’s what you can do! Purchase your 2005 license, and simply add on $10.00 for the remainder of the 2004 season! 2005 Licence forms will soon be available at the track.

The license fee for 2005 is $75.00, with a 10% EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT before December 15th, 2004, and a 5% EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT before January 31st, 2005. Further discounts will also apply if you are signing up more than one family member. Please note: If you are purchasing the extra license for the remainder of 2004, the 10% earlybird reduction will only be applied to the 2005 licence fee (ie. $75.00-10%=$67.50+$10.00). For those riders who would like to receive the EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT, the 2005 license will cost $75.00 for a one class license (20″ or Cruiser). For both licenses it will be $95.00 ($75.00+$20.00) minus 10%.

This year’s Indoor Season is jam-packed with exciting new races and series!! There is a new Winter series with prizes up for grabs, a 4X Series, a Pit Bike World Championship Series, theme nights, and even a road trip!! Build Dates:

-November 13th to November 21st -December 11th to January 2nd -January 15th to January 23rd -February 6th to February 13th

Winter Series: Prizes awarded to riders who race two out of three plus the finals!! The dates are: Saturday, November 20th; Saturday, December 18th; Saturday, January 1st; and the Finals are Sunday, January 23rd.

4X Series (MTB): Ride your mountain bike on the BMX track! 4X runs fourriders at a time (instead of eight riders maximum). Any riders are welcome, even if you don’t own a BMX bike! Please remember you must hold a CCA/UCI BMX cruiser license to ride your mountain bike on the BMX track. Please also remember that to ride on a BMX track, you need long sleeves, long pants, gloves, and a full-face helmet! This series will be run on same dates as “Winter Series” as a double header!

World Pit Bike Championships: An entire series devoted to Pit Bikes!! The Pit Bike Series will run at $2.00 per rider, every Sunday from November 14th to January 16th. Race four out of six plus the finals to qualify. Pit Bike classes are Junior (10 years old and under) and Senior (11 years old and up). Santa sponsored the December 19th race where trophies and plaques will be awarded to riders! The finals to the World Pit Bike Championships will be January 16th.

Year-End Awards: Abbotsford Indoor 2004/2005 Season Year-End Awards will be presented on Sunday, January 23rd with the finals of the Winter Series. Race 14 out of 22 races to qualify!

Charity Races: Sunday, December 12th brings the race “Santa Loves BMXers.” Bring an unwrapped gift (toy) and race for only $6.00 (half price!). On Friday, December 17th, bring 3 or more items to donate to the Food Bank and receive $2.00 off your race fees! All donations are welcome!

Practice/Coaching Nights: Check the online schedule (www.abbotsfordbmx.ca) for dates. Riders 10 years old and under ride from 4:00 to 6:00 and from 6:00 to 8:30, there will be open practice. On Sundays, the track will be open until 6:00pm for open practice, but if you haven’t raced that day’s race, the cost will be $5.00.
