Speed Theory ‘Last Chance’ ITT and Provincial TTT Championships
The race consists of 2 separate races. A 16km ITT in the morning and the 45km Team Time Trial Provincial Championships in the afternoon. The 16km ITT will be an rolly out and back ending on a nasty incline to keep you honest. Ability categories will be used to determine start lists, however you must indicate where your points should go during Karelo sign up. The 45km TTT will be a 3 lap event. Each team MUST start with 6 riders, with the 4th rider’s finishing time recorded. Three categories will be run; open men, open women, and open mixed.
For the open mixed division, at least 2 women must be on the start. The time recorded for that team will be either the 2nd women across the finish line or the 4th rider, whichever is last. This means, that if you start with only 2 women, both must finish to get a recorded time. For more information check out the technical guide here.
Provincial Hill Climb Championships
The 29th running of the Provincial Hill Climb ITT Championship presented by CMC/Bow Cycle takes place on Mount Norquay Road in Banff, AB. The course is a lung bursting 4.8 KM grunt up Mount Norquay Road to the Mount Norquay Ski Lodge. As in the past the field is limited to 100 racers. Entry fee is $20.00. Recovery food will be provided for participants. Registration is now online here – for more information download the technical guide here.
