March 16, 2004 – The Burnaby Velodrome will receive $367,000 for improvements as part of contributions from the provincial and federal governments. Both governments are earmarking $29 million toward green and community projects across British Columbia. There are over 57 projects that will receive the funding, including the Greater Vancouver Regional District, which receives $3 million toward the cost of its new water filtration plant, $2 million to the Vancouver Aquarium, $2 Million to a new library in North Vancouver.
