September 12, 2006 – The Cheakamus Challenge Fall Classic is all set to go and for 2006 all riders who register will recieve a FREE DINNER at Dusty’s Creekside BBQ.

We have also placed a NEW GPS MAP on our web-site along with directions to make PRE-RIDING much easier.

Course workers have been busy doing maintenance on the Cheakamus Canyon Trail and will be finalizing the final touches this Monday, September 11th at 10 a.m leaving from the Tantalus Bike Shop in Squamish.

This year marks the 23rd edition of this King of the Classics and returning this year to defend their titles are Max Plaxton (Rocky) and Trish Sinclair (Scott). Also lining up once again are the 2 Kindree’s from Squamish, Neal and Megan. Last year Neal just lost the event by a tire to Max so look for a very fast pace off the line.

The first aid station has also been moved to Pinecrest, just before the second Highway section.
