2018 MTB World Championships Junior Women/Men’s XCO Results – Canada’s Theberge 8th and Jones 9th

September 06, 2018 (Lenzerheide, Switzerland) – Canada’s Marianne Theberge finished 8th in the 21 km Junior Women’s XCO race this morning at the 2018 MTB Worlds in Lenzerheide, Switzerland. Roxane Vermette was the next best Canuck in 22nd as Laura Stigger (Austria) took the title. Riders faced a Start loop + 4 laps in good conditions.

Defending bronze medalist, Holden Jones, led the Canadian junior men in 9th followed by Carter Woods in 12th in their 25.2 km race that featured a Start Loop and 5 laps of a 4.2km course. Switzerland’s Alexandre Balmer claimed the win over Leon Reinhard Kaiser (Germany) in second and Mathis Azzaro (France) in third.
