June 18, 2010 (Hamilton, ON) – The clock is ticking for 2015 Pan Am Hamilton Velodrome as deadlines are approaching and funding opportunities to build on the the $11.4-million budget will soon be compromised if decisions aren’t forthcoming according to a report in the Hamilton Spectator.
The current funding would only pay for a facility consisting of stretched fabric over a steel frame and delays in a business plan for the venue will limit opportunities to seek out more funding for a facility that will attract world-class test events. “Everybody knows that the budget is too small,” said National Cycling Centre Hamilton (NCCH) head Andrew Iler – read more here.
