January 12, 2014 (Gossau, Switzerland) – Last weekend, Jan. 4-5, at the 2014 UCI Masters Cyclo-cross World Championships in Gossau, Switzerland, Canada was on the podium courtesy of Alberta’s Alana Heise (Terrascape Racing) who took home the bronze medal in the Women’s 40-49 category. Also competing for Canada in the Men’s 40-44 category was fellow Albertan Andre Sutton (Hardcore Bikes) who finished ninth while Quebec’s Erick Wenzel (Bikurious-Croix de fer) was 25th.
