2013 UCI CX World Championships to be Streamed Live Online

January 18, 2013 (Louisville, KY) – The 2013 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships will be streamed live for a world-wide audience to watch this historic moment in sport on USA Cycling’s Youtube channel and on Louisville2013.com. For the first time in the international event’s 63-year history, it will be held outside of Europe in Louisville, Ky. on Feb. 2-3.

The experienced broadcast crew will utilize a total of 11 cameras positioned around the course at the Eva Bandman Park to bring the high-energy mix of hard racing and celebration that is cyclo-cross. Podium ceremonies which immediately follow each of the four races will also be showed live.

“We at USA Cycling are excited to bring this event to cyclo-cross fans around the world through YouTube. Everyone can enjoy the same broadcast that will be on European TV, live on their computers at home and in coffee shops everywhere.” said USA Cycling Vice President of National Events Micah Rice.

There will be two races each day of the Elite World Championships. On Feb. 2, the juniors men’s race will take place at 11 a.m. and the under-23 men’s race is slated at 2:30 p.m. On Feb. 3, the elite women’s race will be held at 11 a.m., followed by the elite men’s race at 2:30 p.m. All times are EST.

Tickets are available for the 2013 UCI World Elite Cyclo-cross Championships. Single-day general admission tickets are $25; two-day general admission tickets are $40. Children under the age of 10 attend at no cost. Tickets can be purchased online at Louisville2013.com. Ticket prices are subject to increase when purchased at the gate.
