October 20, 2013 – The riders at the 2013 SingleTrack Challenge, at Hardwood Ski & Bike on Sunday, Oct 20th, braved poor weather forecasts to enjoy a fantastic day of riding. The sun shone for most of the day, bringing out the beautiful fall colours as riders ripped thru the freshly leaf blown trails at Hardwood. Riders were able to enjoy racing almost endless 50 km of dedicated singletrack.

Bret Waghorne took top honours in the 50 km challenge with a time of 2:52:16, with Lori Davis recording the best women’s time of 3:29:03. Brendan Matheson and Trevor O’Donnell posted the best men’s team time at 2:45:47, with “We are Specialized” women’s team of Erica Leonard and Rhonda Stickle ripping it up in 3:15:06. Corey Brioschi and Barbie Hope posted the best time for mixed teams at 3:00:31.
