2010 Track World Championships – Canada’s Whitten Wins Gold

March 27, 2010 (Copenhagen, Denmark) – Canada’s Tara Whitten has won gold in the women’s Omnium following the final two events where she was 6th in the Points Race and 3rd in the 500m TT. Whitten topped the field to take home the gold with Elizabeth Armistead (Great Britain) in second and Spain’s Leire Olaberria in third. Last year at the Track Worlds in Poland Whitten won Omnium silver.
