2010 Road Worlds Elite Men’s ITT Full Results, Photos – Cancellara Wins

by Byron Dawson

September 30, 2010 (Geelong, Australia) – The Elite Men’s World Time Trial Championships are underway as the men complete two laps of a 22.9km circuit that features steep punchy climbs early, fast open sections in the middle and tight corners at the end. Canada’s best hope for a medal is Svein Tuft who told us this morning that his Garmin-Transitions team has given him the opportunity to focus on this event specifically. He also felt that his preparations were similar to 2008 when he won the silver medal at the ITT Worlds in Varese, Italy. The clear favourite is Fabian Cancellara (Sui). Tuft starts in the last group at 4:04pm local time – start list here.

Cancellara wins his fourth ITT title – and makes history as the first rider to win four ITT World Championships.
