April 10, 2010 (Guatemala City, Guatemala) – The Pan American MTB Championships are underway in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Friday saw the first events of the championship, including the XC Team Relay, won by Colombia. The Canadian squad did not enter a team, focusing rather on the individual events on Sunday. The 4X finals also took place on Friday, with Luana Oliveira (Brazil) and Mario Jarrin Molina (Ecuador) clinching the women’s and men’s competitions, respectively. There were also no Canucks on the roster. At today’s Men’s DH event, Rob Fraser is the lone Canadian racing.
