September 5, 2009 (Canberra, Australia) – Canadians Jeff Anderson (Can), John Webster (Can), and Steve Dickin (Can) placed 16th, 18th, and 26th, respectively, in the Observed Trials 26″ category yesterday at the 2009 UCI Trials World Championships that runs parallel with MTB Worlds, September 1-6. Unfortunately, none of the Canadians qualified for Sunday’s finals, as only the top eight advanced. Kenny Belaey (Bel) was the top seed.
According to Webster’s Mom, Michelle, “Before his run on Friday, John thought the course was set at height maximums and had never seen a course so challenging. Knowing John, I’m sure he will be watching and taking notes during the Finals Sunday. He will also get a chance to ride the course after the comp on Monday. All this will prepare him even more for Rotorua.”
All three Canadians will head to the UCI Trials World Cup in Rotorua, New Zealand next week.
