September 15, 2009 (Bogogno, Italy) – Réal Labbé of Quebec City will head home with a complete medal set from the world championships in Para-cycling for riders with a disability which concluded on Sunday. Labbé, who races in the hand cycling events, took gold this week in the individual time trial, the silver in the road race and the bronze with Mark Beggs of Montreal and Rico Morneau of Ste-Martine, Que., in the hand cycling relay race.
Marie-Claude Molnar of Greenfield Park, Que., collected two bronze medals placing third in both the women’s 48 kilometre road race and the individual time trial.
Canada’s other medal was earned by Daniel Chalifour of Lac-des- Écorces, Que., and his guide Alexandre Cloutier of Ste-Antoine-de-Tilly, Que., in the individual time trial for the visually impaired.

– eighth for Éric Bourgault of Orford, Que.,
– ninth places for Morneau, Mathieu Parent of Granby, Que., Brayden MacDougall of Calgary

– 23rd for Stéphane Côté of Quebec City and his guide Pierre-Olivier Boily of Sherbrooke, Que.
