December 13, 2008 (Milan, Italy) – The 2009 Giro d’Italia pink leader’s jersey or “maglia rosa” was revealed yesterday in the fashion capital of Milan, Italy. Next year’s race leaders will celebrate the race’s 100th anniversary decked out in haute couture as they pedal through Italy’s beautiful countryside in the country’s most high profile cycling race.

The eye-catching pink jersey is designed by prominent Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana of Dolce&Gabbana. Check out the photos from yesterday’s jersey unveiling.
