August 14, 2008 – The Tour de Port au Port is upon us once again. We have a great weekend full of activities for the whole family for Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17. Accommodations @ Our Lady Of Mercy Complex Indoor and Outdoor camping is available on site. Limited kitchen use and washrooms are available (there will be a primitive shower option).

Saturday, August 16
Bring your kids out for the RCMP bike rally at the Our Lady of Mercy Complex which starts at 10 am. At 12 noon there is a BBQ for the kids bike rally. Following the kids BBQ at 1 pm registration will start for the short course race. With the race starting at 2pm, competitive riders will travel 40km and recreational riders 20km. At 7:00pm Saturday evening there will be a bonfire down on Gravels Beach.

Sunday, August 17
Registration for Sunday starts at 9:30 am at Picadilly Crossroads. The 98km recreational group will leave Picadilly Crossroads at 11 am, the 98km competitive group will leave Picadilly Crossroads at 12 pm, and the 52.5km recreational group will leave from Mainland School at 1 pm. The Awards Ceremony will be held at 4 pm at the Our Lady of Mercy Complex. With dinner following at 5 pm.
