2008 Quebec Track Championships – Cossette and Cote Win

July 21, 2008 (Bromont, QC) — This weekend saw the 2008 Quebec Track Championships in Bromont. The championships were run in an Omnium format including individual pursuit (4000m), sprint, kilo, points race, and scratch race.

A top notch sprinter, Stephane Cossette took the championships by winning the kilo, sprint match and finishing third in the points race. In terms of cumulative score after the five events, Cossette finished ahead of Charly Vives (Calyon) and Jean-Michel Lachance (Volkswagen) in second and third respectively.

Meanwhile, Karine Cote (Piste.Ca) took the women’s title, followed by Catherine Couture (Équipe Cascades) in second and Raphaëlle Chrétien (EVA-Devinci) in third.
