May 31, 2008 (Taiyuan, China) – Canada’s Samantha Cools finished 5th in the Elite Women’s final on Saturday as Snaze Reade (Gbr) won the gold with France’s Ann-Caroline Chausson taking silver and Sarah Walker (Nzl) the bronze on Day 3 of the 2008 BMX World Championship in Taiyuan, China. Maris Stombergs (Lat) won the Elite Men’s race over Steven Cisar (USA) in second and Sifiso Hnhlapo (RSA) in third.

In the Junior competition it was France’s Manon Valentino scoring gold over Aussie team mates Lauren Reynolds in second and Rachel Bracken in third while Aussie’s Sam Willoughby took to gold in the Junior Men’s race with Vincent Pelluard (Fra) in second and Denzel Stain (USA) in 3rd.
