May 17, 2008 (Abbotsford, BC) – Scott Erwood (BC) and Christine Miller (AB) have won the Elite Men’s and Women’s 2008 BMX Nationals titles today under clear sunny skies with record fields. Jimmy Brown (AB) placed second and Patrick Lebel (AB) was third in the men’s competition, while Kaila Sweeney (AB) was second and Danielle Brisson (BC) was third in the women’s race.

BC’s Brookelyn Wilkinson won the Junior Women’s title over Sarah Brion from Quebec while Joey Trudeau (QC) won the Junior Men’s title over Hugo Benoit-Leduc (QC) with Jeff Jacobsen (BC) in third. Tory Nyhaug (BC) was the winner of the Under 16 Men’s title with Nick Benniti (BC) in second and Steve Crichton (BC) in third.
