October 26, 2007 – The 7th World Conference on Sport and Environment began yesterday in Beijing, China, the host city of the 2008 Olympic Games and runs until October 27. Titled “From Plan to Action”, the conference features expertise and best practices from the Olympic Movement, NGOs, sponsors, the sporting goods industry and UN bodies.

The programme is centred around three sessions with presentations from past and present Olympic Games Organizing Committees (OCOGs), sponsors and athletes. The conference will devote an entire session to the different environmental challenges and opportunities the Beijing organizers are facing. For more information click here.
