May 4, 2007 – Matteo Bono (Ita) Lampre – Fondital won Stage 3 of the Tour de Romandie today in a suspenseful three-up sprint after riding 163 kilometres from Moudon to Charmey, Switzerland. Marco Pinotti (Ita) T-Mobile Team, who placed third, nearly took over the GC lead, but now sits in second place, four seconds behind Paolo Savoldelli (Ita) Astana. Canada’s Michael Barry (Can) T-Mobile Team finished an impressive 14th today and moves up two spots to 23rd in the overall.
