2007 Tour de France Route Revealed

October 26, 2006 – Today the 2007 Tour route was revealed in Paris, France. With many of the top riders not showing up – either out of protest because of the ongoing Operacion Puerto, the battles between the ProTour and the Grand Tours, or because of pending drug charges as in the case of this year’s winner, Floyd Landis – the mood was reported to be quite tense.

At the end of the 8-minute movie highlighting the race itself, the screen showed Landis himself, then cracked like a mirror. Whatever the case for 2007, the 3,547 km route proves to be challenging as always.
