July 17, 2007 (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) — Canada’s Cam Mackinnon advanced today in the Men’s Sprint competiton qualifying in 5th. Mackinnon will face-off in the quarter finals against the USA’s Ben Darczewski tomorrow.

In the men’s 4000m Individual Pursuit won by Chile’s Enzo Cesario today, Canada’s Eric Smith finished 6th in the qualifying round and did not advance as only the top four move on to the finals.
