October 2, 2007 – Mammoet, world wide specialists in heavy lifting and transport are sponsoring the 5th Annual $3,500 Oktobercross presented by United Cycle on Monday, October 8, 2007 at Goldstick Park, site of the 2001 Canadian Championships, which will feature a spectator friendly 2.5 km course. Entry Fee: $30 – cash only
Registration will open at 9 am and close 30min prior to each start.

Course
A superb cyclo-cross venue through the paved, gravel and grass trails through the Goldstick Park facility. The course is highlighted by side hill sections, off camber corners, twisting grass chicanes, and high speed pavement. Spectators will have access to the entire winding course featuring excellent vantage points overlooking the river valley.

Services
An assortment of hot/cold beverage, bagels, doughnuts, and fruit will be on hand for all participants.

Prizing
All categories will be awarded cash ($3500) and draw prizes, courtesy of the excellent sponsors of this event.

ABA categories
– Sport (cat 4 and 5 road & beginner/ sport MTB) 10:00 am- 35 min + 1 lap
– Expert (cat 3 road & Expert MTB) 11:00 am- 45 min + 1 lap
– Women 12:15 pm- 45 min + 1 lap
– Open (Cat 1,2 road & Elite MTB) 1:30 pm – 55 min + 1 lap
