April 20, 2007 (Zurich, Switzerland) – One of the oldest races in cycling, the Championship of Zürich scheduled for October 7, will be cancelled for 2007 as a primary sponsor has been not found to date for the race reports AFP.

Ironically, Zürich is one of the richest cities in the world. The race dates back to 1914, and was won only once by a Canadian, Steve Bauer, in 1989.
